The Needham Harvest Fair is one of my favorite fall traditions in our area. This year, the Charles River Regional Chamber is hosting it on Sunday, October 4, from 11am to 3pm at Greene’s Field, at the corner of Pickering Street and Great Plain Avenue in Needham.
What to Expect at the Needham Harvest Fair
The fair is free, and everyone is welcome. It’s a wonderful chance to meet local businesses and community organizations, and to learn more about the town. Here are a few things you can look forward to:
- A free pumpkin from the pumpkin patch (while supplies last, so arrive early!)
- Tasty bites from local eateries
- A chance to climb aboard the Needham Fire Department’s truck
- Tables from more than 15 town departments and committees, ready to answer your questions
- Information about local nonprofits and ways to get involved
Why Community Events Matter
When families ask me what makes a town feel like home, the answer is often the people and the traditions. Events like the Needham Harvest Fair are a great way to get a feel for a community, whether you already live nearby or are thinking about moving to the area.
If you are new to the area or thinking about making a move, local events like this one are a great way to explore a neighborhood before you buy. You can talk with residents, visit nearby shops, and get a real sense of daily life. Spending a relaxed weekend afternoon in town can tell you a lot about whether it feels like the right place for your family.
Come Say Hello
I’ll be at the fair from around 12pm, and I would love to meet you! If you have questions about buying or selling a home in Greater Boston, I’m always happy to talk, in English or Farsi. You can also learn more about me on my About page.
Wishing everyone a beautiful fall weekend! 🍂
